FAQ's

- Does Tina tattoo minors?

Yes. Tina does tattoo those under the age of 18 with a few requirements. A parent or legal guardian must be present during the entire tattoo. They must fill out paperwork, approve size and positioning, along with staying while the tattoo is being done. The minor must have a VALID state Id, drivers license or passport. There are no exceptions to these requirements.  

- Does Tina do re-works and cover ups?

Yes. Tina will do re-works and coverups of other artists tattoos. There are exceptions, so feel free to message with a picture of what you are looking to cover and Tina will get back to you as soon as possible.

- My Recovery Derm is filled with "liquid" and black ink, is this normal?

Yes. It is normal for there to be fluid between your bandage and skin. The fluid is plasma, blood and ink. Your body will reabsorb the plasma and use it to help heal your tattoo faster. If this bothers you, there are two options. The first option is simply take a long shower, remove the recovery Derm, and continue to heal your new tattoo like normal by washing with antibacterial soap and water and moisturizing. The second option is simply stop back in and Tina will replace with a new covering. 

 

-This is my first tattoo, what do I need to know?

 

First tattoos are exciting and a few things to know are as followed. Make sure to eat a meal and drink plenty of water before your appointment. Make sure not to drink an excess amount of alcohol the night before. This tends to thin the blood and causes excessive bleeding. If there is excessive bleeding, Tina may have to stop tattooing and bring you in for a second session or the blood may thin out ink causing your new tattoo to be spotty and need touch ups. Anxiety happens and if you feel nauseas or light headed do not be afraid to speak up. Breaks are okay and Tina is always willing to stop if needed. Bring snacks and something to drink. 

- What kind of payments do you accept?

Tina accepts cash and all major credit cards.

- How much will my tattoo cost?

Tattoos are always situational dependent on the details that are going into it. Tina has a minimum of $120 and  prices per piece. Please feel free to ask and Tina will give you an estimate so you know what to expect.  

- Should I tip my tattoo artist? 

You should absolutely consider tipping your tattoo artist. Like all service industry careers, your artist relies on tips to help pay their bills. Tipping is never expected, but always greatly appreciated. 

- Can I get tattooed if I have sunburn?

No. If you have a sunburn please understand Tina will not tattoo you until it is gone. This can damage skin, cause blisters, leave you with scarring and be extremely painful. 

- Can I bring my own design to be tattooed?

Absolutely. If you have a design that you drew, an image someone else drew for you, or even an image that you found that you love you are more than welcome to bring it in. There may be some aspects of the image that might need changed so that when tattooing it reads properly and will hold over time. 

- How long will my tattoo take to heal?

Healing is different foe everyone. Healing is situational based on the location on the body, your skin type and how well you take care of the tattoo. Tattoos typically take about two to three weeks to heal. Typically if a recovery derm is used, tattoos tend to heal faster, but this is not always guaranteed. 

- Are deposits required for tattoos?

Yes, Tina requires a $100 non-refundable deposit. Once you and Tina pick a date and time she will then inform you a deposit is needed. This is done on her website under the "Booking" tab.  Deposits go towards time spent on researching and drawing your tattoo. Deposits do not go towards your tattoo appointment unless Tina specifies otherwise.
